Description

App Store iPhone Game of the Week in more than 70 countries! - April 2011
"We’ve seen clever puzzle games before, but we’ve never seen anything like this." – AppSmile
"Percepto is an excellent little puzzle game that feels perfect for iOS devices" – GamePro

Bruce has fallen asleep and finds himself in a strange room that can be flattened to two dimensions. Help him find his way to the door by rotating the room and compressing to a new point of view.

Once you've mastered the basics of rotating the room, you'll encounter new puzzle elements that will force you to think in 3D, but move in 2D. Moving blocks can carry you to your destination, but only after they have been turned on using a button! Green blocks enable you to see through other blocks like they aren't even there.

After you've solved each room, play it again for the perfect moves challenge

Perfect

Now this is exactly what I want and expect an iPhone game to be. Intuitive. Smart. A Creative concept. Easy to learn. Addictive. Challenging. Cute non abrasive music that isn't annoying. Not over complicated. Functional. Original. And most of all very responsive controls. I want more games like this. (To the Game designers of this app... Please give us additional levels and evolution to the game play. I would really love to see this concept expanded on more and more. It could go allot of places.).

Percepto 2.0

The updated game is pretty good, but having played the 1.0 version, I have some gripes.

This is really a completely rebuilt game with new levels and all. I would have been much happier if this new design was added IN ADDITION to the old levels/design. I put time into those levels, and all that progress is gone now. I'd also enjoy experiencing the old design from time to time, because I liked it better in many ways.

My other irritation is at the navigation system. I'm used to a menu of some kind. This only has minimal buttons and a scrolling list of levels. It's very easy to accidentally scroll to another level in the middle of playing. That forces me to scroll back and start my level over. Make it a bit harder to accidentally choose a past level, and add a splash screen & menu system.

What happened to the game I bought?

While this new Percepto is certainly interesting, I can't help but feel that innovative gameplay and unique aesthetic were traded for modern animation and some silly attempt at "story". Why erase a great game so your sprite can now wear glasses and a t shirt? I put a lot of time into the game I purchased and now all my progress is gone, along with any option to play the original game in the first place. Even if there is an option, I don't know where it'd be with the complete lack of menu system that is now in place.

I guess I just want to know why something that was so great needed to be "fixed"?
